Implant Placement Sequence and Timeline

Although in many  cases it may be possible to place a temporary crown on an implant at the time it is placed, it is often more cost effective and predictable to wait until the implant has healed into the bone (Osseo integrated). Under a best case scenario, an implant could be ready for a final crown 3 months after it is placed.  Most typical cases are ready for final restoration of the implant 4 to 10 months after the hopeless tooth is removed.  Every case is different.  An accurate time line for an individual case together with an accurate cost estimate can usually be determined at the time of the initial consultation.
